In Her Defence was first performed by The Compton Players under the name Evil Will Come in November 2021.  Since then Helen Saxton, the author, has made some changes and will be taking a slightly different version performed with just two actors to the Edinburgh Fringe in August under her business, Dead Herring. All ticket proceeds will go towards the Edinburgh venue hire. All proceeds from the bar will go to The Compton Players. Thank you for your support!

London, 1947. Philip Mackinder is dead. His wife, Catherine, has shot him. As a court hears the evidence leading up to the murder, we witness the disintegration of the couple’s marriage and discover the real, surprising truth.
